I have a lot of projects in mind but don't have much time to stitch, so that's why I take so much time to finish even a little piece. I show you the progress I made last week:

Tengo muchos proyectos en mente pero no tengo mucho tiempo para bordar, por eso tardo tanto en acabar incluso una pieza pequeña. Os enseño los progresos que hice la semana pasada:

I've seen that some of you are taking part in what I think is a wonderful SAL of a stitching technique I had never heard before: blackwork. I've been reading about it and watching some finished projects and I love it! Did you know about this technique? Where can I find some patterns?

He visto que algunas de vosotras estáis participando en el que creo que es un maravilloso SAL de una técnica de bordado de la que no había oído hablar nunca: blackwork. He estado leyendo sobre ello y viendo algunos  proyectos ya acabados y me encanta!

Vosotras conocíais ya esta técnica? Dónde puedo encontrar algunos patrones?

Last week I made this felt case for my Ipod 'cause I don't want scratches on its touchscreen.
If anyone's interested in having one for his/her Ipod just tell me and I will do it for you, I have felt pieces at home and I will send it to you in 2 days time.

La semana pasada hice esta funda de fieltro para mi Ipod para que no se le ralle la pantalla táctil.
Si alguien está interesado en tener una igual para su Ipod decidmelo y os la haré, tengo fieltro de sobra en casa y os la mandaré en 2 días.

Filling the bottle

I saw this in some blogs I follow and I decided to do it.
As I don't have empty jars at home I am using an empty plastic bottle.
Last week I started filling it with the remaining threads of my projects and I'm delighted!! I don't have threads all over me or have to look for them for throwing them away.

Ví esto en algunos de los blogs que sigo y decidí hacerlo yo también.
Como no tengo tarros vacíos en casa estoy usando una botella de plástico vacía.
La semana pasada empecé a llenarla con restos de hilos de mis proyectos y estoy encantada!! Ya no tengo hilos alrededor mío y no tengo que buscarlos para tirarlos a la basura.

Cogí el diseño de aquí  pero mi labor va a ser un poco diferente, ni la frase ni el dibujo van a ser iguales, lo veréis muy pronto. Prometo enseñaros otra foto la semana que viene.

Gingerbread Man Brooch (Red)

And this is how it looks the gingerbread man brooch stitched on Red Christmas aida cloth.
The back is beige aida cloth printed with red unicorns.

Y así es como queda el hombre de jengibre bordado en tela Aida Rojo Navidad.
El reverso es tela aida beige con unicornios rojos estampados.

Gingerbread Man Brooch (Green)

Gingerbread man stithched on Green Christmas aida cloth.
As you see, the back is a beige aida cloth printed with green butterflies.
You may think all the photos belong to one brooch, but they don't, they are two different brooches. The first I did was a gift and I am selling the other one on my Etsy shop.

I'm actually finishing a third one on Red Christmas aida cloth. I will try to post it as soon as possible!

Hombre de jengibre bordado en tela aida Verde Navidad.
Como podéis ver, el reverso es tela aida beige con mariposas verdes impresas.
Pensaréis que todas las fotos son de un solo broche, pero no, son dos broches diferentes. El primero que hice fue un regalo y el otro lo vendo en mi tienda de Etsy.
Actualmente estoy acabando un tercer broche en tela aida Rojo Navidad. Intentaré postearlo en cuanto pueda!

Snowflake Ring - Glow in the dark

In the previous post I showed you one of the two rings I have done. So, here is the second one.
It is hand sewn on Green Christmas Aida cloth and, like the other one, it glows in the dark!
It is sewn with Gold metallic thread and glow in the dark thread (DMC).
Finally, I stuck it to a strong silver-tone adjustable ring base.
It measures 7/8 inch (2.3 cm) wide.


En el post anterior os enseñé uno de los dos anillos que he hecho. Así que, aquí está el segundo.
Está cosido a mano en tela Aida color Verde Navidad y, como el otro, brilla en la oscuridad!
Está cosido con hilo metálico dorado e hilo que brilla en la oscuridad (DMC).
Finalmente, lo pegué a una base de anillo plateada ajustable y resistente.
Mide 7/8 inch (2.3 cm) de ancho.
