1st Blogaversary Giveaway // Sorteo 1er Blogaversario

As some of you know, last week was my 1st Blogaversary. I can't believe I have been posting and showing you my stitching for a year. In this time I have known a lot of lovely bloggers and have also received a lot of great comments, so I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all of you!

Como algunos ya sabéis, la semana pasada fue mi 1er Blogaversario. No puedo creer que haya estado posteando y enseñándoos mis bordados durante todo un año. En este tiempo he conocido a un montón de bloggers encantadoras y también he recibido un montón de comentarios geniales, así que sólo quería deciros GRACIAS a todos vosotros!


As you know, the better way to celebrate a Blogaversary is with a Giveaway!! Here are the rules:

1.- You have to be or become a follower, it doesn't matter where you live I ship anywhere in the world.

2.- Leave a comment on this post only saying you would like to join the Giveaway. Everyday I will post an updated list with your number for the giveaway in the page named "Giveaway / Sorteo". If you don't see your name on this list and you have left a comment, let me know it.

3.- Take the giveaway to your blog (this is optional, I would appreciate if you do it).

4.- If you already own any of the items that I am giving away you can also take part in the giveaway, just write in your comment which item you already have and if you win, I will pick another number and another lucky person will win it.

5.- You can enter until Wednesday 30th November, 23:59 CET (Central European Time). On Thursday 1st December I will draw a winner using Random.org and will post it.

BRZ Progress IX // Avances BRZ IX

Hello everyone!

Let me guess... you were thinking about my BRZ, weren't you? Well, here it is, although I haven't done so much stitching this week.

Dejadme adivinar... estabáis pensando en mi BRZ, no? Pues bien, aquí está, aunque no he bordado mucho esta semana.

I have finished the maroon house and the pink house on its left...

He terminado la casa granate y la casa rosa de su izquierda...

... and have started the light purple flower.

... y he empezado la flor morada clara.

More things, today is my 1st blogoversary!! But I'm not going to talk about this now, I received on Monday the parcel with the goodies I ordered at Casacenina and I will take photos of them and post the giveaway on Sunday/Monday, stay tuned!

Más cosas, hoy es mi 1er blogaversario!! Pero no voy a hablar de esto ahora, recibí el Lunes el paquete con los regalos que pedí a Casacenina y les haré fotos y publicaré el concurso el Domingo/Lunes, estad atentas!

BRZ Progress VIII // Avances BRZ VIII

Here I am again wit my Big Round Zipper and this is how it looks :

Aquí estoy de nuevo con mi Big Round Zipper y así es como se ve:

The blue house is built and the red one on the left is in progress...

La casa azul está construida y la roja de la izquierda está en proceso...

The blue spot between the hearts and the grey roof is the whale-shaped vane, some details are missing so you may not see it properly...

La mancha azul entre los corazones y el tejado gris es la veleta con forma de ballena, faltan algunos detalles así que puede que no lo veáis claro...

... and an orange building is under construction.

... y un edificio naranja se encuentra en construción.

Handmade Birthday Gift / Regalo de Cumpleaños hecho a mano

In August was the birthday of my boyfriend's sister. We were going to go and celebrate it with her but we finally couldn't go. Two months later she got her gift, but... what was it?

En Agosto fue el cumpleñaos de la hermana de mi novio. Ibamos a ir a celebrarlo con ella pero al final no pudimos ir. Dos meses más tarde ella tuvo su regalo, pero... ¿qué era?


It was a needle book! I stitched a Barbara Ana design for the front.

Era un libro porta agujas! Bordé un diseño de Barbara Ana para la portada.

With black and grey felt I made a scissors case on the left side (back of the cover).

Con fieltro negro y gris hice un guardatijeras en el lado izquierdo (detrás de la portada).

And on the right side I made the needle book.

Y en el lado derecho hice el libro para las agujas.

The DMC scissors were part of her present too...

Las tijeras DMC también fueron parte de su regalo...

... so I made a scissors fob for them.

... así que les hice un buscatijeras.

My prize & BRZ Progress VII / Mi premio & Avances BRZ VII

Good news & BRZ Progress VI / Buenas noticias & Avances BRZ VI

Hello everyone!

It's raining cats & dogs here, I don't like rainy days because I usually get wet on the way to the office (although I take an umbrella with me) but this time I'm happy because our reservoirs were in need of water.

More good news, I have won Rahenna's giveaway prize #2, I will show you when it arrives but for the moment you can see it here.

Aquí llueve a cántaros, no me gustan los días lluviosos porque suelo mojarme de camino a la oficina (aunque lleve un paraguas conmigo) pero esta vez estoy feliz porque nuestros embalses necesitaban agua.

Don't be afraid, this little cute turtle is one of us. I bought her at Bimba&Lola on Saturday. I was looking for a special ring because the special one I had was broken in June :(

No os asustéis, esta tortuguita tan mona es uno de los nuestros. La compré en Bimba&Lola el Sábado. Estaba buscando un anillo especial porque el que tenía se me rompió en Junio :(

BRZ Progress V / Avances BRZ V

This is how my BRZ looks like. I have a new camera and don't know how to use it properly, so you will see the photos better if you click on them because if you do not see the photo on its natural size it looks pixelated. I will try to fix this.


Así es como se ve mi BRZ. tengo una cámara nueva y no sé cómo usarla correctamente, así que veréis las fotos mejor si clickáis en ellas porque si no ves la foto en su tamaño natural se ve pixelada. Trataré de arreglarlo.

Then, Friday again, I'll work from 9:00 to 14:00 and after that ready to enjoy the week end. :D

Espero que todas tengáis una buena semana, la mía está mejorando por momentos: mañana es fiesta aquí en España (yujuu), el Jueves por la noche (después de un largo día en la oficina) vamos a ir a un partido de baloncesto: Bizkaia Bilbao Basket contra Real Madrid, he ganado unas entradas en un concurso de Facebook! Luego, Viernes otra vez, trabajo de 9:00 a 14:00 y después a disfrutar del fin de semana :D

BRZ Progress IV & some purchases // BRZ Avances IV & algunas compritas

Hi everybody!

Our family is growing and from Saturday we have a new member with us. His name is Paco and we are sure he will be very helpful when we don't have light in our lives. He's so cute, don't you think?

Nuestra familia está creciendo y desde el Sábado tenemos un nuevo miembro con nosotros. Su nombre es Paco y estamos seguros que nos será de gran ayuda cuando no tengamos luz en nuestras vidas. Es muy mono, no creéis?

It's a dynamo lantern, we saw it during our morning stroll on Saturday and we couldn't resist to take him home. It was my boyfriend who named him.

Es una linterna dinamo, la vimos el Sábado durante nuestro paseo matutino y no pudimos resistirnos a llevárnosle a casa. Fue mi novio quien le puso nombre.

I also bought a case for the glasses because the case I got in the optics optician (thanks Joanne) is huge amd takes up much space in my bag. I know it's ugly but I didn't mind because it was cheap and perfect for turn it into a cute case with a cross stitch applique, hope I can start with it soon.

También compré una funda para las gafas porque la que me dieron en la óptica es enorme y me ocupa mucho espacio en el bolso. Sé que es fea pero no me importó porque era barata y perfecta para convertirla en una linda funda con un aplique de punto de cruz, espero poder empezar con ello pronto.

Big Round Zipper Progress III // Avances III

Hi girls (don't know if there is any boy around here)!

I'm afraid I will not show you new stitching projects until I finish this one because the BRZ is for a present and I have to put all my free time on stitching it. So, for now, I can only post progress of it. Hope you don't get bored.


Hola chicas (no sé si hay algún chico por aquí)!

Me temo que no podré enseñaros nuevos proyectos hasta que acabe este porque el BRZ es para un regalo y tengo que poner todo mi tiempo libre en bordarlo. Así que, por ahora, sólo puedo postear porgresos del mismo. Espero que no os aburráis.

Big Round Zipper Progress II // Avances II

All good things come to an end and last Wednesday was my last day of summer vacation, I can't believe one month has passed by so fast!
So, back to routine again, but I'm happy, having a job nowadays is almost a privilege.

Todo lo bueno se acaba y el pasado Miércoles fue mi último día de vacaciones de verano, no puedo creer que se me haya pasado un mes tan rápido!
Así que, vuelta a la rutina otra vez, pero estoy contenta, tener trabajo hoy en día es casi un privilegio.


This are the progress of this passed weeks. As you see, I usually stitch by colours, that means I stitch dark colours first and I leave light ones for the end.

Estos son los progresos de estas pasadas semanas. Como véis, suelo bordar por colores, es decir, bordo primero los colores oscuros y dejo los claros para el final.


I've finished with dark green...

Ya he acabado con el verde oscuro...

And I have started with dark brown...

Y he comenzado con el marrón oscuro...

As I will be at the office from 9:00 to 19:00 (it sounds boring, I know...) I will pass and see & read you all this week and I will also try to post more often. Hope you all have a good start this week. :D

Como voy a estar en la oficina de 9:00 a 19:00 (suena aburrido, lo sé...) pasaré a veros & leeros a todas esta semana y también intentaré postear más a menudo. Espero que tengáis un buen inicio de semana. :D
