The other day I realized that my 2nd Blogaversary was two months ago and that I haven't celebrated it, that's why I'm doing now, never is too late!

El otro día me dí cuenta de que mi 2ª Blogaversario fue hace dos meses y que no lo he celebrado, por eso lo hago ahora, nunca es demasiado tarde!

The prize is Issue nº 638 of the magazine "Labores del Hogar", it's focused into crafts for baby's but I think they may have more uses, that depends of you... Although the magazine is written in spanish, charts for cross-stitch, crochet and knitting are easily understood by everybody, no matter what language you speak and if we have any doubts, nowadays I'm sure we all have a transalator nearby. If not, you can always write me to ask about the doubt, I bought the same issue for me so I will kindly answer your questions and give you the explanations in english or even french.

El premio es el nº 638 de la revista "Labores del Hogar", está centrada en labores para bebés pero creo que pueden tener más usos, depende de vosotras...

The prize also includes 20 skeins of  DMC threads (my favourites) all new colours, that came with this month issue:

I'm sure you all have some New Year's resolutions and so do I. The most important are studying everyday after work during the next 6 months (so I will have some spare time for stitching during the weekends and something to show on the blog too) and writing on the blog more often. What are yours?

Estoy segura de que todos tenéis algunos propósitos de Año Nuevo y cómo no, yo también tengo los míos. Los más importantes son estudiar todos los días después del trabajo durante los próximos 6 meses (así tendré algo de tiempo libre para hacer punto de cruz los fines de semana y también algo que enseñar en el blog) y escribir en el blog más a menudo. ¿Cuáles son los vuestros?

Now I'm thinking about learning how to crochet or knit, but that would be in July when I have taken (and passed -fingers crossed-) all my exams.

Christmas is already here and my first Christmas stitching is nearly finished (I'm trying to find something as small as french knots to stitch instead and make snowman's eyes). I love this time of the year, don't you? Music everywhere, lots of lights, tasty Christmas sweets, holidays at work...

La Navidad ya casi está aquí y mi primer bordado navideño casi está terminado (estoy intentando buscar algo tan pequeño como el nudo francés para coser en su lugar y ponerle los ojos al muñeco de nieve). Me encanta esta época del año, a vosotros no? Música por todos los sitios, montones de luces, dulces navideños riquísimos, días festivos en el trabajo...

Love this Lizzie Kate design. I bought it last year but I couldn't find time to stitch it until now.
The snowman is stitched with one strand of white and one strand of glow in the dark thread (DMC).
Spots on the ball and on the red "H" are stitched with one strand of glow in the dark thread and one strand of gold metallic thread (both by DMC).
Light green details and the first "H" are stitched with Color Variations (DMC).
I stitched pink details with a floss I received from June.

Me encanta este diseño de Lizzie Kate. Lo compré el año pasado pero no he podido encontrar tiempo para bordarlo hasta ahora.
El muñeco de nieve está hecho con una hebra de color blanco y una hebra de hilo que brilla en la oscuridad (DMC).
Los puntos de la bola y de la "H" roja están hechos con una hebra de hilo que brilla en la oscuridad y una hebra de hilo dorado metálico (ambos de DMC).
Los detalles en verde claro y la primera "H" está hechos con un hilo de Color Variation (DMC).
Bordé los detalles rosas con un hilo que recibí de June.

Can anyone help me? ☆ Alguien puede ayudarme?

Hi everyone!

We're going on holidays soon. We will fly to Rome, stay there for 4 days, then we will fly from Rome to London where we will be for 5 days and then fly back home. We made the same trip two years ago so we are now going on "real holidays", we will not be running from one place to another to see everything, you know what I mean.

Well, my problem is that although I've been researching on my own (thanks Google), I have only found a pair of shops in London where if I'm lucky enough I could probably find some cross stitch stash.

My questions are: Have you ever been in a cross stitch shop in Rome / London? Have you heard about a cross stitch shop in Rome / London? Do you know anyone that can tell me where to find some cross stitch stash in Rome / London?

Thanks a lot in advance to everyone and sorry for not writing here, but I was so tired after work and this horrible African heatwave is consuming all my strength.

Hola a todos!

Nos vamos de vacaciones pronto. Volaremos a Roma, estaremos allí 4 días, luego volaremos de Roma a Londres donde pasaremos 5 días y luego volaremos de vuelta a casa. Hicimos el mismo viaje hace dos años así que ahora nos vamos "de vacaciones de verdad", no andaremos corriendo de un sitio a otro para verlo todo, ya sabéis a lo que me refiero.

Bien, mi problema es que aunque he estado buscando por mi cuenta (gracias Google), sólo he encontrado un par de tiendas en Londres donde si tengo suerte probablemente encontraré algún artículo para punto de cruz.

Mis preguntas son: Habéis estado alguna vez en alguna tienda de punto de cruz en Roma / Londres? Habéis oído hablar de alguna tienda de punto de cruz en Roma / Londres? Concéis a alguien que pueda decirme dónde encontrar artículos para punto de cruz en Roma / Londres?

Muchas gracias por adelantado a todos y perdón por no haber escrito aquí, pero estaba muy cansada después del trabajo y esta terrible ola de calor africano consume todas mis fuerzas.

You will notice this last photos are high quality, that's because we have a new camera (happy dance) :D

I used to take the pictures with my Nokia phone but now that our holidays are closed, we bought a Pentax Optio RZ18, what means great quality pictures for the blog anf for our holidays too.

Notaréis que estas últimas fotos son de mejor calidad, es porque tenemos una nueva cámara :D

Solía sacar las fotos con mi teléfono Nokia pero ahora que nuestras vacaciones se acercan, hemos comprado una Pentax Optio RZ18, lo que significa fotos de gran calidad para el blog y también para nuestra vacaciones.

Saturday Stroll ☆ Sábado de paseo

Last Saturday morning we went out for a walk. As it was a sunny morning and the temperature was not going to be very high we decided to do the route we like the most: Aixerrota and La Galea cliffs. And it's only 20 minutes by underground from our home in Bilbao.

El pasado Sábado por la mañana fuimos a dar un paseo. Como era una mañana soleada y las temperaturas no iban a ser muy altas decidimos hacer la routa que más nos gusta: los acantilados de Aixerrota y La Galea. Y está sólo a 20 minutos en metro de nuestra casa en Bilbao.

Hello everyone! As promised, here are the photos of the Big Round Zipper finished.

The colourful city with the big sun shining...

La colorida ciudad con el gran sol brillando...

...the "journey" is perfectly represented with the neon yellow car...

...el viaje está perfectamente representado con el coche amarillo neón...

...in the countryside is where we can better see the stars, the moon and our friend "the owl" watching us with his big eyes...

...en el campo es donde mejor podemos ver las estrellas, la luna y a nuestro amigo "el búho" mirándonos con sus grandes ojos...

...and follow the path until you see the "X" that indicates that you have reached your destination.

I'm not going to frame it so I will show you what I have made with it when it's finished. And another thing, white dots are stitched with DMC Light Effects "Glow in the dark" floss (E940) so they will glow when lights are off, I'll try to take a picture of them.

No voy a enmarcarlo así que os enseñaré lo que he hecho con él cuando esté terminado. Y otra cosa, los puntos blancos están bordados con el hilo DMC "Glow in the dark" (E940) así que brillarán cuando las luces se apaguen, intentaré hacerles una foto.

I'm back again!! ☆ Ya estoy de vuelta!!

Can't believe I'm blogging again! Although I have been reading your blogs from time to time, I could not leave comments on them, I'm so sorry... But now I'm back and I have all the time in the world for cross stitching, blogging, reading and commenting!!

No puedo creerme que esté blogueando de nuevo! Aunque he estado leyendo vuestros blogs de vez en cuando, no he podido dejar comentarios en ellos, lo siento mucho... Pero ahora estoy de vuelta y tengo todo el tiempo del mundo para hacer punto de cruz, bloguear, leer y comentar!!
