Estos son mis avances de esta semana:

As you see in the pictures, I have not stitched too much just because I'm on vacation and I'm spending the time strolling, doing some shopping, playing "Fable III" with our new Xbox 360 (if you want, you can share your gamertag with me and maybe we can play online), being with friends... that is, having a lot of fun and doing nothing at all! It's so hard! hehehe.

Como veis en las fotos, no he bordado mucho porque estoy de vacaciones y paso el tiempo paseando, haciendo algunas compras, jugando al "Fable III" con nuestra nueva Xbox 360 (si queréis, podéis compartir vuestro gamertag conmigo y quizá podamos jugar online), estando con amigos... es decir, pasándomelo genial y sin dar palo al agua! Es tan duro! jejeje.

Mi camera is not very good so I think you could not see the thread is like Color Variations (DMC) ones. It's the first hand dyed thread I have so it's a very special gift for me. Thank you very much June!

As I have a lot of Anchor threads at home I have decided not to buy the DMC threads as recommended, so my BRZ will look a bit different.

Como tengo muchos hilos de Anchor en casa he decidido no comprar los hilos DMC como recomienda el gráfico, así que mi BRZ será un poco diferente.

And Mary Wigham's Sampler. I have only marked the white 40 ct. Belfast linen but I want to start it soon.

Today I want to share with you the pattern of the brooch I made for DMC Easter Egg contest.

It's an original pattern designed by me because one of the conditions to take place in the contest was that the pattern we used couldn't be an existing one.

I know it's not a big deal, but I wanted to share it with you. Hope you like & stitch it! (If you do it, I would like to see some photos).


Hoy quiero compartir con vosotras el gráfico del broche que hice para el concurso de huevos de pascua de DMC.

Es un gráfico original diseñado por mí porque una de las condiciones para participar en el concurso era que el diseño que usáramos no podía ser uno existente.

Se que no es gran cosa, pero quería compartirlo con vosotras. Espero que os guste y lo bordéis! (Si lo hacéis, me gustaría ver alguna foto).

For stitching the hearts I used DMC Glow in the dark floss (E940). Colours are orientative. I cannot upload the thread chart, so, if anyone wants it I will be glad to send it to you by e-mail.

Para bordar los corazones usé hilo DMC Brilla en la oscuridad (E940). Los colores son orientativos. No puedo subir la guía de colores, así que, si alguien la quiere estaré encanta de enviársela por e-mail.

Last year I bought an embroidery frame. I was very excited with my purchase but when I got home and I assembled it I realised I was not going to use it because it's too big for me and I don't feel comfortable stitching with it.

Yesterday I was reminded of it, I took it out of the storage room and photographed it because I am going to give it away to one of you.


El año pasado compré un bastidor para hacer punto de cruz. Estaba emocionada con mi compra pero cuando llegué a casa y lo monté me di cuenta de que no iba a usarlo porque es muy grande para mi y no me siento cómoda bordando con él.

Ayer me acordé de él, lo saqué del trastero y le hice unas fotos porque voy a regalárselo a una de vosotras.

I love this design from Bent Creek. I've been dreaming with it for a long time while I read your SAL's progress posts with envy (healthy, of course).

Today I have finally decided to bought the pattern and now I can't wait to arrive home and start stitching it!

Me encanta este diseño de Bent Creek. Llevo soñando con él desde hace muuucho tiempo mientras leía con envidia (sana, por supuesto) vuestros posts con vuestros progresos del SAL.

Hoy por fin me he decidido a comprar el patrón y no os imagináis las ganas que tengo de llegar a casa y empezar a bordarlo!

I'm back again! I was very tired and I just needed to take a break of blogger and stitching.
Now I'm ready to continue and I have returned with a new project in Blogger: Buyin' Green, a blog about eco-friendly shopping.

As the picture is not as good as I would like it to be, I explain you that the one on the left is a heart with the words "Made with love" and a little heart on it; and the one on the right is a hand with the words "Hand made" on it.

Como la foto no es tan buena como me gustaría, os explico que el de la derecha es un corazón con las palabras "Made with love" y un corazoncito en él; y el de la derecha es una mano con las palabras "Hand made" en ella.


They are great to add a special touch to my pieces!

This is a version of my diamond ring, the one that glows in the dark, stitched in black on a natural linen base. As always, it is an adjustable ring.

I'm also thinking about doing a pair of earrings and/or a pair of bobbypins with the same design, what do you think?

I told you a long time ago that I was going to cover with fabric a metallic box I have at home, but now I'm thinking about painting it and decorate it with the decoupage technique.

Os dije hace mucho tiempo que iba a forrar con tela una caja metálica que tengo en casa, pero ahora estoy pensando en pintarla y decorarla con la técnica de decoupage.


Anyway, what I have for sure is that I will put this on the top of the box:

I cannot show you the biscornu that I'm stitching right now because it's for a swap and don't want my partner sees it before it arrives its destination.
